Jewish Penicillin

Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup
  • 2 cups chicken, cut up and cooked
  • 9 cups water
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp chicken bouillon
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 1/2 cup dried noodles
  • 1 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup celery chopped
  • 1 cup corn
  • 2 Tbsp snipped fresh parsley
  1. In a large stockpot combine all ingredients EXCEPT noodles and parsley. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add noodles and parsley. Continue boiling 8-12 minutes until noodles are done.
  3. For an extra kick, sprinkle cayenne pepper on each individual serving. (This is a must if you have a cold.)
